More About Matt... David, Ruth and Timothy: Three of many examples of young people in the Bible who were given extraordinary responsibility. Of course, they did not do it alone, but had guidance and wise counsel from important adults in their lives. I seek to help adolescents and young adults through the trials of life, and in the process empower them to take on the responsibilities that come with growing up. I also realize that the relationships I build with my clients do not happen in a vacuum, but their lives are influenced even more by their families, schools, churches and other people they interact with on a daily basis. When appropriate, I try to work with clients’ families and other important adults in their lives to provide support and encouragement and help create an atmosphere of empowerment. |
